Club History

The Quesnel Flying Club was born on June 11, 1954 when a group of local aviation enthusiasts united as a non-profit society to promote and encourage flying.

The Club Today

The goal of our club has not changed, but grown.  Our family-oriented organization continually deals with many changes occurring in the world of general aviation such as regulations, Nav.Canada,  and insurance issues.  In a group setting these issues can be dealt with more efficiently, giving greater weight to our concerns.  We also organize and host a number of aviation based activities including fly-outs/ins, BBQ's, and seminars.

Some of our members own a plane and some do not, our club is open to anyone with an interest in aviation.  Monthly club meetings are held at 19:00 (7:00 PM) on the second Monday of every month in the old terminal building at the Quesnel Airport.  Usually one can also find some of our members enjoying a coffee and swapping stories and knowledge in the old terminal building on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 10:00am and 11:00am.
